Hair Product Packaging
Typography
I worked with one other designer on typography for d:fi product packaging. The silhouettes of people dancing, d:fi logo, colors and copy were pre-selected by the company. I chose League Gothic as the primary font. The font was well received, and d:fi decided to incorporate it into their website and general branding aesthetic. I was familiar with this font because I had used it previously for branding a non-profit, Because of Hope. Both companies share a similar young, trendy aesthetic in their branding.
Dr. Bronner's Soaps
Gift Wrap & Retail Bag
Packaging Design
Dr. Bronner's is the best-selling soap in the U.S. natural marketplace and is successful in many other countries including: Germany, Singapore, France, Canada, Mexico and Japan. The company sells primarily through larger retailers such as Target, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and Sprouts. Dr. Bronner's is looking forward to opening their first retail flagshipstore in North County San Diego in the coming year and has requested retail bag designs for in-store purchases as well as gift wrap for their Japanese market.
Revlon - Creative Nail Design
CND Shellac, CND Vinylux & CND Creative Play Bottle Labels
Production Labels & Exterior Packaging Redesign
Revlon's Creative Nail Design had a label and ingredient update in 2017 for all of their polish lines including CND SHELLAC, CND VINYLUX and CREATIVE PLAY. I worked remotely with one other designer and two marketing team members to create the new packaging. Using the existing packaging template, I created new front, back, bottom and top labels for CND's shades. Each shade for the VINYLUX brand (sample pictured above) has different ingredients for the bottom label for each shade. In total, I created roughly 800 unique packaging labels released to print. The current labels are pictured above instead of the new labels because the new labels have not been released yet. Creative Nail Design is also releasing updated exterior packaging for all their nail brands. I worked with one other designer to come up with some samples for this project. Superior Service System Kit
Packaging Redesign & Production Packaging
The CND Superior Service System Kit (pictured above) was created based on an existing template by a team of designers. My main contribution to this project was converting the entire packaging project from Indesign to Illustrator. I also made revisions for a major dieline change and assisted with proofing, creative design elements on the front panel and other small revisions to secondary panels.
